The cloakroom is spruced with Sisal flooring and a pale pink / putty paint from Fired Earth called Manna Ash. It is pretty paired back; A lovely Ercol bench from The White Company, a coat rack from Garden Trading and framed seaweed samples from Refound Objects.
It leads into the entrance hall, which is currently empty and proving tricky to furnish - I think a vintage white side table might be the answer, but I'm still searching for the right thing. What is working is the lovely wallpaper - Stig Lindberg from Boras Tapeter. It's detailed, but simple with a lovely pale palette; it doesn't shout, but you couldn't get bored with it.
I love this pale putty - it's not really pink, it's much more muted, but it's got a lot more to it than another greige tone, of which we have plenty. The tongue and groove is painted in Manna Ash from Fired Earth.
Final touches are a lovely woven basket from Tea & Kate, a porcelain feather from Refound Objects and a vintage eiderdown and recycled glass vase from Catkins & Pussywillow. We've got a white lamp from Ikea to provide pretty, soft light in the evening - in fact we have two of these lamps in the house because they are so reasonably priced and look so nice. I love a standard lamp, but the prices are usually eyewatering...
